How to report on post-Pardot campaign sales activities in Salesforce

Being able to report when a campaign member from a form completion in Account Engagement (Pardot) becomes related to an opportunity is important.
But it’s not everything!
It’s also important to know when that Lead or Contact who joined that campaign, then has post-campaign sales activities (call, email, meeting).
Here’s how you can do that in Salesforce.
Step 1: Create a Custom Report type. I called mine “Contacts w/Campaign History w/ Activities.” Structurally it is a report with Contacts (A) with at least one related record from Campaign History (B) with at least one related record from Activities (C).
Step 2: You want to make sure to limit the Activities to those that occur after the Campaign Responded Date. You do that by going into Filters and selecting Created Date in the Activities section.
Step 3: In the same Filter, select “Field” as the type and in the Value, select “First Responded Date.” The operator should be “greater or equal”
Step 4: If you want to see a specific campaign’s post-responded Activities, add a filter for Campaign Name and enter the campaign name.
This isn’t a perfect solution, but it’s a solution nonetheless.
Note: You can add another layer to this by using Opportunity and creating a filter where the Campaign Responded Date is before the Opportunity Close Date. For this you’d need to use a cross filter for Activities and then filter on dates opened.
